New Info!

I have had my first two customers and I am excited. I have put a new bracelet up, made a facebook page for the store and found another cause I'd like to support. The new bracelet is the totem pole bracelet and the one shown comes in a beautiful mix of blues and white. You can find the facebook page on the sidebar. (become a fan today!) Finally, I've decided to start supporting another great cause that fights poverty in Africa for the women who have lost their husbands to AIDS. It's called beadforlife.com and the women make beads out of recycled bits of magazines and an epoxy like substance to seal the beads. I will be putting a link to them on my website as well as pictures of the bracelets and necklaces my family purchased to support the cause. I would also like to say Happy Kwanza and a late Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah to those that celebrate those holidays and just a happy holiday season to everyone else. When I received the e-mail from HotelsCombined.com saying that they supported charities just for talking about them, I knew I had to do it. I think it's great that they are willing to give money to charities just for people getting the word out for them. Help Me Fight for Good Causes

   I've started a new project for special causes I want to support. I might make bottle cap earrings with Lemons on them to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and ones with a Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon to support the Susan G Komen Foundations. These earrings would be only one bottle cap long, come in silver or gold attachments, various painted backgrounds, and would be $10 a pair. I will also be making big and small hand-woven Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons for $4 and $8, respectively, with 50% of proceeds going to Susan G. Komen. The ribbons will come in a few different color pinks and take me from 2-6 hours to make, but they are worth the time.
   I lost my grandmother to lung cancer in 2006. It may not have been breast cancer, but cancer is worth fighting, no matter what form. I'm finally able to do something that could help give to the people fighting it, so I need your help.
   You can also donate directly to these causes if you look at the columns on the side of my page. I have not started the earrings yet, since I still need a few supplies, but they will be coming soon with pictures to show. I am currently working on my second Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon. A picture of my first one will be up on the site tonight. I hope that you guys will help me help people with cancer, people who have survived it, people who have lost someone to it, and people fighting it.   P.s. If you noticed, the Alex's Lemonade Stand icon says the Twilight fandom gives back. I write Twilight fanfiction. I may not have many original works (besides poetry), but I found that it is a beautiful story to use for a writing base point and that the people in the fandom are all caring and wonderful people. While I might not have a Twilight related site to post from, I still want to do my part to help them raise money. I am still a part of the fandom and feel that what these ladies are doing is amazing. New Products Coming Soon!

So I took some pictures for a new product coming out. It's a Hand-woven headband made from yarn. I have a limited amount of colors right now, but I'm saving up to get some more and at least the ones I currently have are pretty cute. After some editing and labeling, some headbands should be making it to the site this week. Hope somebody likes them! Keep watching the site and the blog and be sure to check out the products that are already up!

Great Big Hello

So now that I've switched sites, I've decided to start up a new blog to keep everyone up to date on what I'm doing, what's going on with the store, and product information. Hope that this can help me to gather new customers and hopefully answer any questions that should arise.
